Emulsogen® LCN 287 is a nonionic emulsifier for industrial applications. It is used as emulsifier for emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, styrene and acrylate homo- and copolymers together with anionic surfactants like Emulsogen® EPA 073. Emulsogen® LCN 287 improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. It is used as a dispersing agent for inorganic and organic pigments in aqueous pigment preparations.
Emulsogen® LCN 287 is used for aqueous paints and coatings as a dispersing agent and stabilizer to improve the compatibility of pigments with polymers. It prevents skinning of aqueous coatings e.g. in textile coaitngs with emulsion polymers. This product is also used as an emulsifier for aqueous emulsions of alkyd resins.
