It enhances softness and generates high gloss in various formulations. Due to its composition, this material is favourably used in sun care, where it melts onto the skin for an excellent feel whilst improving the spread of actives thus potentially improving the SPF. In addition to this, SeraSoft SW 70’s compatibility with other organic materials gives it many uses in other skin care products as well as colour cosmetics, where it offers the additional benefit of excellent shine from its high refractive index. For water-based products, this material is available as a 35% emulsion, SeraSoft EM 701, for where cold processing is essential. view less

At 100% active this material is perfect for serums. For waterbased products such as shampoos and conditioners, why not try our 20% O/W co-emulsion of this, SeraShine EM 501C. Phenyl Trimethicone is also an incredibly soft, low tack ingredient for inclusion into skin creams and in particular sun care products.
