Hostapal® BV Liquid is an anionic emulsifier for the chemical industry. It is composed of tri-sec.-butyl phenol polyethylene glycol ether sulphate with 7 moles ethylene oxide, sodium salt. This product is compatible with other anionic and nonionic surfactants. Hostapal® BV liquid is resistant to caustic soda and water hardness.
In mineral acid solutions at elevated temperatures, Hostapal® BV liquid like all ether sulfates tends to hydrolyse. It is used in the polymerization of vinyl acetate, together with other vinyl esters, acrylates, vinyl chloride and ethylene, for acrylic and styrene / acrylic dispersions and for butadiene / styrene latex.
