DermaGel HEC 30000 (hydroxyethyl cellulose), is a non-ionic, water-soluble polymer that is widely used as a thickener, binder, emulsifier, and film former. It holds moisture, suspends solids, and has good chemical compatibility. DermaGel HEC 30000 is susceptible to mechanical shear so the resulting thick formulation breaks and spreads well on the skin. The white, granular powder is then purified to a 94.0 percent minimum purity (dry basis).
